DNA SEQUENCE

एक गुण सूत्र ऐसे दो सूत्रों से बनता है
- एक सूत्र 5' - 3' दिशा में जाता है
- दूसरा सूत्र 3'-5' दिशा में जाता है
- दोनों सूत्र एक दूसरे से hydrogen bond से जुड़े रहते हैं

गुणसूत्र के छोर ( ends )
ऊपरी छोर
- 5th carbon atom of sugar is not linked with any other
  - terminates in phosphate
    - called as 5'P terminus
निम्न छोर
- 3rd carbon atom is not linked to other nucleotide
  - bears hydroxyl group
    - called 3' end or 3' OH terminus
