====== TIBIAL NERVE ======

  * Tibial nerve 
    * COURSE 
      * POPLITEAL FOSSA 
        * lies superficial to popliteal vessels 
        * extending from superior angle to inferior angle 
          * crossing popliteal vessels from lateral to medial side 
        * BRANCHES 
          * muscular branches 
          * cutaneous branches 
          * articular branches
      * IN THE BACK OF LEG 
        * passes deep to tendinous arch of soleus 
        * runs downwards and medially to reach 
          * posteromedial side of ankle 
            * midway between medial malleolus and medial tubercle of calcaneum
          * terminates deep to flexor retinaculum
            * at origin of abductor hallucis 
              * dividing in to medial and lateral plantar nerves 
      * IN THE FOOT 
        * Medial plantar nerve 
          * passes between abductor hallucis and flexor digitorum brevis 
            * divide further in to branches ( similar to median nerve ) 
              * cutaneous supply 
              * motor supply  
        * Lateral plantar nerve ( resembles ulnar nerve )
          * passes laterally and forward until the base of fifth metatarsal bone 
            * divides in to superficial and deep branches
